Is it me or has this forum turned to shit?

I still think the forum holds merit. I definitely agree there is a lot of bollcoks chatted on here (I admit it, I am pretty guilty here too).

I think that now the forum has established itself, most the thrash bands have posted shit that's put everyone up to date. It was different when people were recording, introducing their bands or whatever, but now I just think there is less genuine news. As there is less news, there is more shit. This forum will still have the occassional great non-thrash thread and will be vital when other bands start recording and releasing again (and I think we can see it's picking up with the Rager, HP and PR anouncements in the UK Thrash section). However, on the whole, like most other forums I have visited, it will suffer a lot of crap too.

Anyway, I apologise for any retarded statements. Let's keep the forum alive!

Maybe this forum was better before I showed up, but I haven't noticed a decline in quality. It's a nice place to discuss UK shit with UK thrashers. I like that.

I just think the shite on this forum is overshadowing what could otherwise be a great resource for UK Thrash. As things are now, the site is just a message board.

thrash metal maniac it is a shame you feel the way you do. Do you really want the Uk thrash forum to be serious all the time. Yeah people take the piss out of bands and each other but that is just friendly banter and thats life for you.

Don't leave the forum, just join in and laugh things off. I like the fact you can have a laugh on here. You cant expect everything on here to be serious and if you really want important issues to be discussed then start the topic off yourself, you might be surprised what people think.

I know that Martin can be a bit of an arse but again just laugh him off. He is harmless and probally find that he is not really a bad person.

UK thrash forum is more of a family than any other forum, at the end of the day we all like the same music and you can only say so much about so many bands, and i for one am looking forward to hear what your band have to offer.

Isn't that the whole point of having different forums on here? so if you come on and all you want to do is see what gigs are happening, then you go to the gigs forum, and same with the uk thrash one or the musicians chat one. Cant really see the problem, i mean i dont like the office, and have never seen peep show, so i soon realized those threads didnt interest me, and dont really read them when i log in. There have been plenty of "proper" threads that have hardly even been responded too, just a few unknowledgable comments that don't carry the subject forward. Maybe the thrashers here dont really know or care enough about thrash if the truth be known.................................................food for thought maybe?????

Damn right. Huzzah. I don't know how people can complain when a forum is as active as this. Changing stuff would ultimately kill off the activity, and no one wants that, right?

I like this forum,I enjoy both the light hearted and more serious aspects of it.Like Immortalicide I have never seen either Peep show or the office,so I don't bother reading the threads,nor am I a musician,so I ignore that as well.I just read the threads I like and reply when I feel it's warranted,without trying to post whore for the sake of it.Haven't posted much recently because I've gone from being unemployed and sitting at home all day,to working from 7.30 in the morning to 6 at night,five days a week.
But the thing I like most on this forum is it's "casual" attitude.On the other forums I frequent the mods would have complete apoplexy at some of the stuff that passes without comment here.Some don't even allow the use of the word Fuck!(stupid child fucking cunts),and some of the avatars and links would lead to immediate bans.
So,if you'll excuse me,I think it's time to bump the sick jokes thread.....
