Yeah I was gonna say that TLOTR was probably the last modern film I have seen that fused good effects with real passion from all the people that worked on it. Its a classic!

Hahaha. I remember the first time I saw the tree rape scene, I laughed my bloody head off. Hilarious.

Anyway, definitely the 2nd one. It has the perfect balance. 3 is perhaps a bit too hilarious (but still very good in it's own right), 1 isn't quite hilarious enough, and 2 has everything. Basically like nearly everyone has already said. Wonderful.

I've seen the first one. That alone is enough reason not to watch the rest.

No it's not, they're all really different. Watch the 2nd one, you can't not love it.

1 is a good horror movie with comedy and 2 is a good comedy with horror in it....3 you can tell was the beginning of the Xena and Hercules sort of thing as Sam Raimi was the producer on those.

Though apparently Bruce has said a 4th one isn't totally out of the question now but its up to Sam but as he may of signed to do spider man 4 and 5 back to back things are up in the air. Though there is the "serious" re-make in production which will properly be crap...not to say re-makes are crap The Thing re-make is superior.

Also random trivia "Clatto Verata Nicto" are the words to control Gort in the day the earth stood (one of my favourite films) still another film that is currently being re-made.

As so many have said, 2 is just best but all amazing for their own reasons!

I remember the first time I watched them all, I borrowed all the videos off someone and me and my friend watched them all back to back in one night. What fun indeed that was!

both evildead 1 and 2 were so similar,i get them mixed up.its like the sequel was an improved re-make.
i didnt bother with number 3 though.

for me,braindead rules the comedy horror genre.
