Whats it gonna be?
For me, its got to be number 2.
A classic! The violence, the comedy, the horror, the quotes... Everything!
What about you, you deadite scum!

Number 2, but only just. 3 is one of the funniest and most badass films ever made, and 1 is a classic. Always makes me cringe when the lass gets stabbed in the ankle.

'Dead by Dawn' is the best, because it's basically an improvement of the first film. I like Army of Darkness, but I don't like thinking about it as an Evil Dead film. It's good as a comedy/gore/horror movie, but definately not a part of the Evil Dead films.

The second one is the best one. I laugh when people think that the second one is a remake of the first or that Ash is going back to the cabin at the beginning when it was showing very quickly what has happened in a vague nutshell.
The commentary on evil dead 2 on the dvd is hillarious also. The stuff Bruce comes out with. "Well I'd best go back to that happy cabin" Brilliant!

Yeah that bit is fucking amazing!
I way prefer stop-motion to realistic computer graphics. With fancy graphics in films its so realistic that you know it cant be real, but with stop-motion its really creepy the way things move. Like how the Terminator moves at the end of the first film... Its really wierd looking.
Also all the high budget films nowadays concentrate more on their super flash graphics and not on making a great film.
I love the stop-motion on films like Jason And The Argonoughts and Clash Of The Titans.

Oh hell yes. To this day the epic skeleton fight in Jason And The Argonauts looks more realistic than say... the Burly Brawl in The Matrix Reloaded. CGI has made everyone lazy. The last display of ingenuity in cinematics was probably Weta Workshop with Lord Of The Rings. Now THAT was CGI with effort attached.
