I've had a gut-full these last few days;
Bike: Puncture
Phone: Wrongly disconnected (bloody T-Mobile)
Central Heating: Pipe blew off radiator flooding hall
Anyone had a more gremlin filled weekend?

I think they are all bad, but Orange are the worst. This is the first problem I've had with T-Mobile, but it means I've been phone-less all day and I'm not very happy!

Well if it's any consolation, in our uni house, we have...
- No lock on the bathroom door
- Leaky sink
- Leaky Toilet
- Central Heating isn't working
- No cushion for the sofa
- Exposed wiring
- Rats and Maggots in the yard
- Slugs
- A washing machine that takes about 5 minutes to yank the door off.
Apart from that, I quite like living there.

I could cope with all but the cushion.

In my second year uni house we had a number of similar problems thrashduck (including no central heating for a few months), but perhaps the strangest factor was a fox which we saw run up to the back door one night and make off with my friend's shoe!
The next morning we found that it had dropped it in the nettles near our fence, presumably realizing it was far from edible.

Thrashduck - We've had a number of problems like that...leaking sink, leaking roof, woodworm infestation, slugs in the bathroom, broken computer chair etc. etc. Finally getting out of the shithole next month
Still, I think the lack of cushions would push me over the edge and send me on a murderous rampage

but karma won the day as I got some work for 4 months the end of next month, in a mental asylum
make that what you will.

Ah student days. I once lived in a house that was so cold the windows used to frost up on the inside! The Immersion Heater was faulty so we could never get water hot enough for a bath unless you boiled 20 kettles which of course no one ever did. A whole year of having to wash in the sink each day. I shudder at the idea of it now. Being a student hardened me up no end, I'm as soft as shit nowadays.

We had our boiler serviced the other day. Just a routine yearly service. Everything was working fine before, and after no central heating or hot water. Madness. So I asked my dad what the guy did, and he says it was a woman.... Problem solved. Women, know your place.
