It's a bit silly really: you can talk about random bands in there just because you see what other people are listening too. I think that's how the Jeff Buckley thread started, for example.

I think people are capable of deciding what threads to make without seeing hundreds of one line posts about what others are listening to.

I'm looking into adding a "shoutbox" type of thing at the bottom of the forum homepage, should cut down on the amount of shite being posted :)

Should be something like what's at the bottom of these forums: www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/forums - you'll need to be logged into the forums to type anything so it should keep down spam as well :)
