It's a bit silly really: you can talk about random bands in there just because you see what other people are listening too. I think that's how the Jeff Buckley thread started, for example.

I think people are capable of deciding what threads to make without seeing hundreds of one line posts about what others are listening to.

I'm looking into adding a "shoutbox" type of thing at the bottom of the forum homepage, should cut down on the amount of shite being posted 
Should be something like what's at the bottom of these forums: www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/forums - you'll need to be logged into the forums to type anything so it should keep down spam as well
