Keith's hair could not have been tied back. It was like a fucking ginger wave of death.

I got my hair cut, and really hated it, it is slowly growing back which is good, but for ages after it was cut all I wanted to do was "play" with it.

For the first few days after I imagine there'll be a lot of crying, but I'll get over it. It can always grow back.

Pros of getting it cut: You eat long hair, it gets caught in a pit, it often obstructs your view

Cons of getting it cut: You'll lose all your strength

I'm growing mine to fill out a Rapunzel fantasy. Except... It'd have to be like a princess coming to save me, not a knight. I don't wanna get done by a dude!
I'm going to
Tear your fuckin' eyes out,
Rip your fuckin' flesh off,
Beat you 'till you're just a fucking lifeless carcass,
Fuck you and your progress,
Watch me fucking regress,
You were made to take the fall,
Now you're nothing!!

When I finally get my hair cut, I'm gonna take out my years of frustration by shouting at long haired people all day...

"GET YOUR FUCKING HAIR CUT, GREB!"

It'll be amazing.

Aah, a luxury us mop-heads can only dream of!

The biggest con of long hair is the 'maintainence' - washing is a pain (though I side-step that by not doing it much ha ha) and the number one annoyance is brushing for literally ten or fifteen minutes after a headbanging session.

On the plus side... it's fucking obvious!!! I don't plan to have my hair cut any year soon. In fact, this may sound a tad ridiculous, but I have had more than one bad dream in which my hair has been shawn and I was totally depressed! Then I wake up and lie there stroking my beautiful locks, with tears of happiness that they haven't left me.... well ok, not the last bit. But I've had the dreams!

Your first point I agree with. I don't like how the maintenance takes more than any other hair style but the end result still looks scruffy. As said before, I just wanna be able to be in the shower for 1 minute. At the moment, it literally takes me like 30 minutes to get FULLY ready to go out.

That has saved my hair on no less than 3 occasions in the passed year.

Haha!

long hair actually doesnt bother me that much, i mean, ive been single the majority of the time ive had it, but i wouldnt blame that on my hair, its coz im incredibly anti-social haha. also, i like looking like a hobo, because im not far off being one. i had it long once before, got it lopped off, didnt do me any favours at all, except making me have to go through the mid stages all over again. ive chop it shoulder length man, it'l be less annoying and its a safty net for growing it long again.

I've been growing my hair for a couple of years now. I ain't kidding when I say it's my pride and joy.

That being said, I've been thinking about shaving it too. I haven't been a skinhead since I was like 13-14, and I can't really remember how it felt, so a change would be nice. Plus, like James said, 10 minutes of brushing after any descent gig. Often during a hangover.

Still, long hair rules. If it's in your way, just tie it back! Headbanging is 100x easier with long hair, the extra weight creates a very natural motion. Without the hair all the momentum comes from the neck, which can suck, and looks really stupid. Also I have a small scar on my skull which becomes very obvious when I have short hair.

As an aside, anyone else got a crazy fucking beard? I'm definitely shaving mine soon, before it develops sentience and demands equal rights.

That's retarded. You should just be the knight, braid your hair into a rope and slap a hook on the end. Chicks are impressed by improvisation.

No idea. I guess it's closer to 3 years... oh, and only one "haircut" during that period. That must be the trick.

My friend Kim did an artist's rendition of what my hair might look like after it has been cut...

One thing's for sure, I'd definately be making that expression if I had that hair cut.
