Software Engineer. I run a company called Execution Unit. I do some freelance work but I mostly devote my time to two websites I have developed New Metal Army and Beep My Stuff (which is in Beta atm).

I'm at a different stage of my life from you youngsters so no pub work for me... thank god.

lol, why? You can make your library private or only shared with friends. You can also mark certain items private so you don't need to let anyone know you've got 'Loose Women' :)

I've got most of my stuff public here: http://www.beepmystuff.com/metaldazza

ha ha, yeah, that's a little Orwellian isn't it. I like my stuff that's for sure. If anyone wants a beta code so you can play with it PM me and I'll send you one. You'll need a USB webcam to beep things.

Firstly I'm not having a dig but on the front page there is a bit of an error
Beep My Stuff makes it easy for you to create an online library of all you DVDs, Blu-Ray Movies, CDs, Video Games and Books.

and secondly, maybe I'm being stupid but what is the point of an online library of your stuff??

I'm the Admin Supervisor for a training company n Hammersmith.

I'm think I'm gonna quit in a few months though, I have too much responsibility for my age, I wanna live wrecklessly while I'm young and still can, make the most of it. Money's good though.

thanks, fixed the typo. What's the point?
  • I think it's nice to have a library that you can share with your friends, see how they rate movies/books etc and borrow their shit
  • By looking at your library and comparing you to others it can recommend stuff you might like and it should be quite accurate.
  • It will integrate with facebook/myspaz/twitter so your friends will know what you're up to
  • I'm not sure about this but a few of the users love it because they can show it to their insurance company when making claims!
  • I'm NOT going to implement this but some of the users want me to add compatibility scores (like last.fm) but that kind of freaks me out a little. But you can certainly look to see how much you are like someone else.

I'm currently on an industrial year placement at my old sixth form college on the IT Tech Support team - got one more year of university in Aberystwyth to go, then (hopefully) graduate in 2010.

I'm also (funnily enough, seeing as I run this hovel) a web developer - more coder than designer, my final year project at university will be a web-based resource-booking system tailored for colleges, universities etc so that they can book out lecture rooms, TVs etc to classes - designed with PHP and MySQL back-ends.

Not sure what to do after that, my ideal job would be webserver tech support as it combines basically all of my computer-related interests: web development, server admin, network admin and using Linux. If the job market isn't looking good and we're still in the doom-and-gloom recession, I may try for a Masters at a London-based university.

Sound technology is good if you're doing the right subjects. Its really interesting the stuff you do, but theres just some days you get really bored. Thats usually Tuesdays for us because they just leave us to do coursework all day for a few weeks. Problem with that is that none of us do it until the day before its due in, or on the day its due in, and still we all manage to get Distinctions. Today should (i say should) be interesting because we have started going in the recording studio again on wednesdays, but its both the classes in one small-ish studio so thats not great. But i imagine most people should be off so it might be okay. Do sound tech Zurab, its bloody ace and you're in the perfect place to get a good job in it.
