There is also a band called Dead On, who only released one album which was alright.

I have that album. It's fucking dire.

Rigor Mortis are one of the best bands ever, and anyone who disagrees can suck a big red monkey cock.

I have a test pressing 12" of Kingdom of Paranoia (the Under One Flag version, lolkvlt), and it's fucking solid.

To add to this list, Holocausto's Campo de Extermino is great, and Acid Reign's Moshkinstein EP has a bunch of great songs on it (Motherly Love particularly, though Goddess is great too).

Lawnmower Deth also get nowhere near enough mention as they should!
You work it out.

I love Lawn Mowerdeth they are daft as arseholes.

I will check out some of these other bands mentioned when i can stop listening to Witchcraft.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

Has what constitutes a 'forgotten Thrash gem' been clarified yet?

Bearing in mind that the vast majority of Thrash Metal releases have been largely forgotten, I'm struggling to suggest anything.

If you want technical stuff ala Coroner, try and get ahold of Fatal's - Sombre Evocation of Nihilism.

Exorcist's (canadian one) main band Piledriver were fairly decent. Gordy was a funny fucker as well.

Deliverence had the best album cover EVER.

And Renegade were great. Hobbs plays virgin metal, Shackles play slut metal and Renegade play Total Armageddon!

The reason may not always be talent though; unless you really thinking BFMV are the best metal band in the UK right now?
Getting the right manager, press agent, booking agent or a sympathetic person at a radio or TV station can all make the difference.

Undoubtedly but then alot of them were also killer.
Holy Terror never got a big break but were awesome. Artillery and Whiplash too.
There are easily 30-40 thrash bands worth listening to but there are also a lot of bands that are not worth getting too excited about.

Not if you got suckered into paying, like, £15 for that double-disc set of their albums. That may have ultimately turned me against them but I never liked them that much. Holy Moses were much better... some of their stuff was pretty good.
