Precisely. A couple of years ago, yeah, I was definately concerned with fitting in with what I thought was a 'metal' image, because that's what I was into at the time. It sounds weak, but I've just grown out of it. I still love listening to extreme types of music, I just don't think it defines me, therefore I shouldn't feel the need to strive to fit the image any more.

You can hunt me down if you want, but I'll just end up seducing you with my sexy new hair.

I grew my hair after watching a video of Mick Thompson rocking out with long hair. I was like "THAT'S FUCKING ACE! I need long hair!". For me, it has nothing to do with being as metal as I can be or anything. I think I'd dress how I dress no matter what music I was into. Except obviously I wouldn't have all the band tshirts, they'd have other logos on.

Anyway, I came to the perfect solution to the hair debate. Get it cut and have the hair that's been removed made into a wig. Then when you want long hair again, put the wig on. Then when you want to sleep/eat without eating hair/pull a hot chick, just take it off.
I'm going to
Tear your fuckin' eyes out,
Rip your fuckin' flesh off,
Beat you 'till you're just a fucking lifeless carcass,
Fuck you and your progress,
Watch me fucking regress,
You were made to take the fall,
Now you're nothing!!

My hair never gives me any shit, wash it every 2nd or 3rd day, brush it when you get out the shower and that's it-safe.

My hair is always tied back, can't be arsed with the wind blowing it everywhere.

I'm a right princess, really.

yeah its not that bad to maintain my hair, it would be nice to have quicker showers tho... but the reasons ive thought about cutting it is because im bored of my hair.

I have been considering cutting the sides and getting a fuck off mo-hawk!

any thoughts?

everyone gets bored of their 'hawks after 5 minutes and end up cutting off all their hair. It's happened to a bunch of people i know.

true, i dunno im just so bored of hair in general, I would just go sort but my hair is a bit curly and when short its a bitch to style, i guess long hair is actually lower maintainance for me, if in doubt just tie it back!

I've got a mate with a mohawk. He uses rediculous amounts of PVA glue. It really pisses his housemates off cos it blocks up the drain when he washes it and sometimes it all backs up and comes back out. Wouldn't recommend it personally.

I shaved my head 13 years ago to get a job and totally regret it. Growing it back is a pain in the ass as you have to go through all the in between phases of having a mini-afro and then having lame curtains, so I've never been able to stick it out.
The worst thing about having short hair is that when you headbang without long hair you look like a spastic having a fit. That alone should be enough to convince anyone to keep it long...

Easy - just stop headbanging. Dancing is much more fun any way.

Surely dancing is what you do at a disco? Can you dance to metal?
I thought there were only two acceptable forms of movement when a band was on - wild headbanging at the front or standing slightly back, arms folded, nodding your head.
