Bristol 1987, drunk on the train and bumming Jim Hinder in his bedroom.
I've found one of me with your darling cousin too. Was your first job interview when you wore the pink shirt?

I read about it in The Sun the day after. It was in Garry Bushell's Bizarre column. A tiny little paragraph tucked way in the corner. I'm amazed I even noticed it.
Must have re-read it five or six times to make sure I'd understood it properly.

I'd left the sixth form, and was on the dole.I used to go round my mate's house every day and we would listen to metal and watch shit telly. So it was wednesday and I went home from my mates and my Dad,god rest his soul, been dead now 17 years, had picked up my copy of Sounds magazine from the newsagents.I opened it and saw the "Cliff Burton dead" story and ran back round to my mates house in shock.
Twenty one years ago? Not to me.
