Yeh, not very interesting at all. Thrash by numbers pedestrian lock.

Re: nuclear blast sign: meltdown
It is cool that people are paying attention to thrash, but the fact that it seems so "in fashion" to snap up all these young bands does seem like a reason for caution to me...
How do we know they won't drop them just as quickly when the 'fad' dies down? Also, nothing against the signed bands, but if people are right that this band are quite typical and generic (I havent checked out the Myspace yet) then doesn't it devalue the fact of being signed too?
I would personally never sign to a label like Earache or Nuclear Blast, but it does all depend on where you want to take your band and what you want it to sound like.

So did Phil Collins, what's your point?
So Nuclear Blast are at it too now? I really wish I could get all these record labels together and for their own good just tell them what a totally shit idea it is signing all this garbage. This band are worse than any of the Earache bands, and that's saying a lot.
Let's not drag Phil Collins down to this level because, firstly, he got signed to a decent label and, secondly, No Jacket Required is much better than any album released by any Thrash band ever.
Otherwise, fine chat.

Basically, this.
The labels are going to squeeze as much money as they can out of these bands and then drop them.
Honestly, Meltdown are fucking terrible. Bonded by Blood are fucking terrible. It's BORING.
They are getting signed because at the moment they can be used to make money.
There are hardly any interesting Thrash bands around which is a shame because as a genre it allows for a high degree of uniqueness, unlike Death Metal or Black Metal.

Fail and aids statement.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

I haven't listened to this yet, but my opinion is that generally, when this thrash fad does die down, the bands who truly are good and who are in it for a long run will last, and will survive the fall. The bands who have been picked up for their use of the cliches and stereotypical thrash ideas won't last. Then we will just be left with the good thrash bands and everything will be fine.

How? I love Death Metal but there are so many limitations on any extreme metal that aren't there with Thrash, unless you get into Prog or experimental territory.

That is just so generic. It sounds like 80s thrash and I want my thrash to sound like something entirely different.
My advice is not to worry about who is signing whom and how long the thrash fad will be around for, just enjoy it while it's here. Lot's of thrash bands is better than hardly any.
