sad isn't it?

same with going to see Megadeth at download and in bristol, about 1/4 of the crowd was under-16s, who only went because Kerrap said they were good!!! They are the same kids who stand there saying 'Why are they playing a Metallica song?' when they play Mechanix  and they don't even know the classix, only the new songs off the new album  which was shit anyway.... I wish they would realise the ability to form their own opinions and stop listening to what those shit mags say!!!

Good for them they knew MECHANIX … That’s still better then telling that your favourite song by Slayer is “Anger Of Dead”…

But yeah, that’s really sad. And annoying too. But that’s not the fault of these teens. That’s fault of all these music journalists from bloody radio or bloody metal magazines who make them brainwashing repeating all the time that St. Anger is so awesome Metallica album…

I remember the first time I heard The Four Horsemen, and I thought, 'isn't this a Megadeth song?' I felt like such a bloody n00b.

The kids in Dublin got shafted upstairs if you were under 18, so didn't hear that. The people downstairs knew absolutely everything, which made it so awesome. I think I remember reading messages on the download forum of all places about them being confused about the Mechanix though...

It reminds me of “Die By His Hand” and "Creeping Death"...

A little late but..

The best Slayer album is South Of Heaven, followed by Show No Mercy.

I will accept a reversal of that order as your personal preference, anything else is just a display of having shit taste.

It seems that I have shit taste! :eyes:

For me the best Slayer album is Show No Mercy and Hell Awaits, followed by Reign in Blood. South Of Heaven is on the fourth place.

Heard the exact same thing, word for word from a girl at Download this... er, last year.

Great bit of foresight by Kirk to take that riff along with him to Metallica. Bet Exodus weren't too pleased though.

Oh, and RIB is Slayer's finest moment.
*puts fingers in ears* NA NA NA I CAN'T HEAR YOU.

The other albums aren't bad but SoH and SNM are just so far beyond the rest.

RiB is good as blaster but it's basically two good songs and a collection of filler interspersed with fun riffs.

Of course, Reign works on an album level and as a whole is great but individually I find the songs don't hold up as well.

I also haven’t got anything against SOH (furthermore intro from the title track is my favourite by Slayer) but I just prefer their faster stuff.

Yes it may looks like this, because except Angel Of Death and Raining Blood, all songs are shorter than three minutes and maybe not to complex and various, but this album contains as much anger, energy and speed as it is possible in such short time and this is its real power.

I am your enemy since I have heard “Last Stand” and I really hate you, because this album was probably the best thrash metal release of nowadays thrash band I heard last year. It completely destroyed me just from the very beginning.

This in turn reminds me of Dave Mustaine and Leper Messiah. Dave is probably one of the most not pleased person when it comes to Metallica and taking away riffs…
