"All time classic" albums that are overrated

Postby terrorizer on Sun Nov 11, 2007 11:25 pm

I'll start: Velvet Underground & Nico "Velvet Underground & Nico".

Much prefer the noisefest of "White Light/White Heat" or even the S/T one and "Loaded." Although the debut has some of the best Velvet songs like "I'm Waiting For The Man", "Venus In Furs" and "Heroin", I really don't think much to the songs Nico sings on! Yet it is revered as godly.

VU are ace but I can't stand Nico's voice! Its too annoying for me to bare.

Nick Drake - Pink Moon

Really good folk, acoustic album.

I suck.

I'm sure I've discussed it more than once before - in a sentence, I find near enough half of the tracks virtually discardable, and I think the preceding two are vastly more interesting, not to mention more important in the early development of thrash.
