it really isnt. introduce yourself is just an amazing album, and all the better for the vocals. i quite liked the real thing, but it just wasnt the same with pattons voice!

I like Introduce Yourself a lot, but I don't think the quality of their stuff went downhill once Patton came in..

Patton is a vocal genius whilst Chuck was very limited with his style/range. I think Chuck was an ideal fit for the earlier FNM song styles and while Introduce Yourself is a good album, it doesn't come close to The Real Thing, Angel Dust or King For A Day for me. Patton can do anything he likes with his voice as has been reflected in his choice of musical direction(s) since FNM quit. Admittedly though, a lot of it is tripe and I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole. I thought the Peeping Tom record was great merely for the fact that Patton was back to singing "properly" again. Patton is one of the best singers ever to grace a microphone in the Hard Rock/Heavy Metal/Alternative genres but only for his work wth FNM and early Mr Bungle.

FNM were never a band i listened to when i was a wee boy, i've still not heard very much if i am honest.

Quite a fan of Patton's other stuff, well Bungle made me have a mental breakdown during my early drug dayz. But i remember Tomahawk being reasonably solid.

Their Scunny gig in '89 on the 'Real Thing' tour was one of my all time favourites....oh yeah and i got one of Bordin's sticks

I see the Download website is saying that this will be their only UK date this year. I fooking hope not!

Bill Gould updated his twitter this week to say that there has been confusion regarding those dates. I think they have been removed from the FNM.com website.
