...So here is a new one!

OK, roll the Absu and summon Shub Niggurath, Morbid Angel must have been sent to Earth from the dark depths of the cosmos to wipe this planet clean of unworthy death metal, these guys rule!

Been listening to Altars... Blessed... and Covenant loads recently, really fantastic albums. I used to not really get Morbid Angel when I first heard them, it was just a mental swirling cacophonous noise but now my ears have adjusted to their sonic blasphemy I can now truly appreciate the true force of these summoners of musical madness.

Trey is a nutcase! Whats that guy's deal? I heard he believes his guitar playing opens portals in space or some shit. :lol:

Any news of a new album? What are they like live? I missed them the last few times they came round so hopefully I will get my chance next time...

Anyway, pick a favorite...

Surely one of the greatest death metal bands ever! I can't think of any other band who totally has their sound. It's like listening to the meandering chuckles of looming abyss-beasts, toying with ignorant humanity before descending in a cataclysm of unnamable, whirlwind destruction.

I have Altars and Domination and, of the two, prefer Altars.

To be brutally honest, Morbid Angel were fucking terrible.
