A refreshing change...

Walking through town today and a passing car was playing loud music, but rather than the usual repetitive dance shite or the crap that passes for R'n'B nowadays, "The Four Horsemen". Nice!

I then heard "Back Street Woman" by Jaguar coning out of a car stereo, but as that was mine it doesn't really count.

Come to Burton upon Trent, the Thrash capital of, errr, Staffordshire!

I remember when I got on a bus couple of years back I could hear someone blaring out No Remorse on the music player. 'Nice one,' I thought and then I realised that my tape player had turned itself on.

There's an unseen fortune under their belts
Are golden temples a symbol of God's way
This horde of wealth is a sickening display"

If I could drive, I'd drive around the streets of Glasgow with Whitesnake, Ratt and Winger blaring out of my stereo. Hair Metal is pretty much the epitome of driving music.

I want to learn to drive for that very reason Keith old chap! Imagine it, a mobile Bronze! You passed out in the back whilst I drunkenly drive up and down Great Western Road shouting Winger lyrics at the pigs.

Such a romantic view of Scotland. Much better than hills and thistles.

Walk down Sauchiehall Street on a Saturday night and you'll soon realise that Glasgow isn't a million miles away from being as bad as Manchester or (*shudders*) Liverpool.

It's just like Yorkshire really, it's nice enough until you get into the built up areas and then you just want to go home.

The only time I hear metal blasting out of a car in my town is when my mate's driving. He usually treats the natives to a healthy dose of Pantera, Chidren of Bodom, Dragonforce or Maiden.
Other than that, the only thing I've heard recently is someone playing Highway to Hell. Which was nice.

Seen it...

Now fuck off and stab some Turks!

P.S. The word 'Scotch' really annoys me. 'Scotch' is how people have heard Scottish people saying Scottish. Because Scots don't pronounce the letter T very often, a new adjective had been created. Even when Scots say Scotch they don't say it the way Americans or English people do. Grrr! What a pointless word.

Scottish - Sco'ish - Scotch

You'd just need to say Whiskey and you'll get something shite, like Grouse or Bells. Otherwise ask for JD or JB and you'll get slightly sweeter shite.

If you want good Whiskey at a bar, then you're best giving the name or year. I haven't seen many pubs doing Chivas Regal and that's a mass-produced blend. It's way nicer than Bell's, White and McKay and Grouse though...

The Black Bottle is supposed to be a good blend. I brought some a few years ago, but someone drank the lot at a party I threw. I didn't even get a dram!
