England's heavy metal newcomer no.1 DARK FOREST have signed with Iron Kodex for the worldwide release of the band's yet untitled second album and their new EP titled "Defender" in 2009 / 2010.
Formed in 2002 in the West-Midlands, DARK FOREST might be the best new English band of the last decade. Combining the great legacy of classic NWOBHM-acts like Tyrant, Elixir, Maiden or Tredegar with the pounding glory of Epic Metal bands like Isen Torr and the beautiful mythic harmonies of Anglo-Saxon folk music, DARK FOREST deliver an absolutely unique brand of classic, no-bollocks Heavy Metal. Galloping rhythms, insanely beautiful twin guitar harmonies and unbelievable vocal lines - everything British Metal was famous and loved for in the early 80s is there. If there‘s a band to lead English heavy metal back to former glory, it‘s DARK FOREST.
Iron Kodex will release the band‘s new EP "Defender" in autumn 2009 and the successor to DARK FOREST‘s highly acclaimed self-titled debut album in 2010!
On top of that, they also now have a vocalist, I have no idea when he joined exactly, but i look forward to hearing him!!
