Persistance Of time.
A very underated anthrax album and also one of my favourates. Shame it was Joey's last album. Does anyone else like this album?

I disagree.
I'd say it's by far and away their best album. There are so many songs on there I want to see live but doubt I ever will: Blood, Gridlock, H8RED, and Discharge off the top of my head*. I quite like the fact that, for an Anthrax album, it's fairly serious in terms of lyrical content but also manages to keep the bouncey Anthrax vibe going from the two albums preceding it. It's sort of like Practise What You Preach in that respect, but sort of a lot better. What's more is that, moreso than any other of the Bellardini-era stuff, John Bush could pull the songs off live. Keep It In the Family live with John Bush was always the highlight of the gig for me.
My only serious complaint with the album is the mix. I have it on vinyl and CD and on both the lead track is stupendously low for some reason or another. It's probably why there are few, if any, memorable Dan Spitz moments on the album.
*Did they play Time on the reunion tour?

I do believe it's criminally underrated. Every track is pretty much a corker, and I liked the slightly darker and meaningful theme they had on this one.
But yeh, the production sucks balls on CD, like most of the old Anthrax albums. Shame.

Re: Persistance Of time.
yeah its a great album and defo underated, got some absolute classic songs on it. As Iain said is still has the bouncy feel to it but also think its quite dark in weird way. They didnt play enough songs from it on the reunion tour. Id would have loved to have seem them play one man stands. I also feel State of Euphoria is really underated as well. Ive listened to it a lot recently and am really enjoying it

I love "Finale" on that album, can't really get into the rest of it though. It just seems a bit paint by numbers to me.
