Fuck him. The cowardly cunt killed his wife and kid. I hope he died slowly and painfully.
Apparently over here the wrestling show last night was a tribute to him. Fuck that. He was a murderer. There's no excusing what he did.

It was on Monday night before the provisional verdict of double murder-suicide was announced. Vince McMahon announced that there would be no mention of his name on Tuesday's show.

Well they did the tribute show after they had learned he died, but before they knew that he was the one that did it. I dunno what they'll do about repeating RAW over here on thursday like they normally do, I assume they won't/

Bit fucking stupid doing a tribute to him when the circumstances were still suspicious. Typical Yanks.

Well I don't think anyone expected that he actually did it, something obviously went wrong in his head, bibles by their sides even though Chris hated religion apparently.

WWE are cutting their ties with him now anyway, all merch removed, even took his name off the Westlemania 20 match listing just says "Triple H defends his World Heavyweight Championship against Shawn Michaels"

The thing is, this could easily have been an elaborate set up. If Benoit really wanted to kill his wife and kid he could have done it then hired Johnny Cochrane and got off Scot-free.

Whilst it is incredibly likely that Benoit did do it, the reporting on Fox News just makes me question it. As soon as the 'Cops' announced that steroids were found on the premises (who'd have expected that?!?!), the panelists started going on about Roid Rage and how common this kind of thing is, albeit to a lesser extent.

I'm not going to condemn Benoit until I'm 100% sure he did it. Even then, it's a tragedy. What can drive a seemingly emotionally-sound family man to do that kind of thing.

Emotionally sound ? CNN have documents showing that his wife filed for divorce in 2003 citing spousal abuse and threats of violence to her and the child. Looks like this time he carried it through.
This was on a sports site over here. I thought it was put rather well. By the way - the guy writing it is a big wrestling fan ...

"In the end, Chris Benoit was all of those things, and that was all we knew at the time -- so it was valid to look at him with the great appreciation that we did. I don't begrudge myself the fun I had at the time from his efforts.

But now? Appreciating Chris Benoit for his work would be like appreciating Adolf Hitler for some paintings that he might have created. Benoit murdered his wife and child in cold blood before taking the coward's way out at the end of a rope. The details of last weekend, combined with confirmation of previous spousal abuse that was not publicly known until now, conspire to make this story keep getting more nauseating by the hour. He deserves none of the glory that many of us were ready to give him when we first learned of his demise prior to absorbing the gory details. He deserves ... well, exactly what he's getting right now and for eternity. Let's leave it at that."

I bet the WWE blokes who made that emotional tribute to him are feeling a bit embarassed now. And those geeks who dress up in WWE shirts, aged 25.

No offence if anyone on here does that... *cough*
