A UK Thrash zine would be a killer idea, i would help out somehow... screaming at kids perhaps.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

Like any hobby, producing a zine costs money, and dont expect to recoup the costs. We found with our zine that even though we had some of the biggest bands in it, and 100s of reviews etc, people would only pay around the £1.50 mark for it, that didnt really cover the cost of producing it, but we did it for fun and because we could.
The thing i find with e-zines is that none of them seem to have the character that paper zines did. Still, if someone were to do one, i for one would certainly buy it

Shame i don't really have the funds for a paper one, but still a thrash e-zine is still a cool idea. Could even be a forum wide side project.

My mate did a zine, cost him nothing..really cheap. Just do the photocopying at a school / college like he did. As long as you dont get caught obviously

for the Brew View, we got a few local businesses (recording studios and music shops etc) to advertise inside the zine. charged them around £15 for half a page, the cost of 150 16 page black and white zines was about £40ish, so we managed to cover our costs fairly easily.

I also cheakily sliped in a UKThrash.co.uk ad and a MetalTeamUK banner... as well as a B&T advert too. if anybody wants to advertise in Brew View let me know, if bands or any body from here wants to put an ad in we will be very reasonable, and can work something out.

but anyway, yes adverts seem to be an easy way of recouperating costs, especially if you are then going to sell the zine for a minimal price.

I am working on a zine, it may take forever to come out, but it's gonna be free and feature bands such as OPPRESSION, LETHAL, ONSLAUGHT, RAMMER and some UK bands who I hope to interview. Keep an eye out and I will update when it's nearing completion. Contributions welcome (interviews/reviews/articles). E-zines???? Fuck off!

PS I need artwork - skulls, death, zombies, that type of stuff.

I run my own mag in the US it's doing really well we're all over the world.
A lot of lables I talk to say they are getting fed up with e-zines. One reason is you can't take your computer to the bathroom or cut out picture to hang on the walls.
Unlike a lo of peole this is'nt a hobby though, hell we even have a bunch we have sent to the UK.
