Just wondering. How did any of you come up with your front covers for your CD's?

Ours is imminent but don't know what direction to take for who to do it. Did you get a mate to it, did you pay for one (if so how much?), did you do it yourself coz you're arty?

Jus' wonderin like.

My band split up ages ago but we did two cd's. The cover for the first one was a bog standard band photo. Highly unoriginal and a bit crap, but cheap.
On the second one, we had a bit more cash handy (we even got Mick Kenney of Anaal Naathrakh to do the drums on it and co-produce), and I employed a mate of mine's services for the album art. I had an idea which would be a simple photoshop job nowadays but five years ago it was a bit trickier. I got him to take photographs of us and then use one part from each, combining them into one hideous jigsawed monstrosity, adding a bit of stitching for that finishing touch.
Most of our songs were about horror films/characters etc so it fitted in nicely with that.

For the upcoming one, Lyall took a few photos when we went to watch Chesterfield on Tuesday. We're probably just gonna mess around and make them look gay on Photoshop and use it as the cover.

Going for the windswept, cold and depressed approach then.

Sure you were in Chesterfield?
The wife's from there and every time I have to go visit the in-laws the weather is shit. Really shit.
I went to Saltergate to watch Chesterfield play Kidderminster a few seasons ago and I couldn't tell which was louder - the cheering when Chesterfield scored the winner or the constant sound of teeth chattering and feet stamping.
Not that Jan Molby seemed to care. Stood there in shorts and a t-shirt while everyone else froze in warm coats and thermal underwear. Legend.

Wow, that got off-topic in record time!

To repeat myself, Swastika made of cocks spunking blood onto a lesbian anal scene.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

Take a photo of a Hospital and shop it so it looks dead. You can pay me later.

We're taking the photographic/photoshop approach with ours I think.

Me and the bhoy Lyall went to see them against Bury last night - nice weather again AND they're now top of League 2.
