by request of demonic dave, an age of empires discussion!

Age of Empires II has been my favourite game for god knows how long. Although I don't play against other humans, so I'd probably get raped online. However, I do still play it with friends and against computer players.

What a fantastic game!

Any other favourite games?

Command and Conquer: Red Alert 2

I fucking love this game, it's timeless.

I've got command and conquer: tiberian sun on my PC here at uni, because it's one of few games that will actually work on this bog standard "uni work" computer. It's good fun.

I tried to install the Yuri's Revenge expansion pack yesterday but some dolt has actually deleted Red Alert 2 off my computer. I hardly play any computer games.

No I'm not a huge gamer, but I do enjoy a few of the strategy games. I never really had a console, so it's always been PC stuff.

I don't recommend AoE III btw, I thought that was quite a let-down.

Yeah I'm definately a fan of strategy games, I've never been good at first person shooters or anything (I suck a wang at Counter Strike whenever I play it at my friend's house). I used to play games like Black and White and years and years back when I first got a PC I'd play a game called Total Annihilation, which I adored.

I'm currently being consumed by World Of Warcraft.

My favorite game ever though is probably Warcraft 3.

The best console game ever is: - Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door

Love AoE 2, It is one of best strategy games I have played. Empire Earth is anoth good one, which you start at begining of time and advance to futuristic times.

I'm in the process of acquiring the parts from work to build an arcade machine emulator, in a cabinet with joysticks and everything.

Its just an old PC and some butchered stuff to control it, theres a program called MAME (search for it on google) which makes an old PC into an arcade machine emulator, you can put thousands of games on them too...

Its the cabinet building, butchering bit thats a challenge, I'm just waiting to get an old PC from work first, saves me forking out 40 quid for someone elses junk...

All these years I was chucking away old PCs aswell...

Once its finished (hopefully by the summer) we should get you guys a gig up this way and we'll have a massive arcade session afterwards at mine.

Metal, games, beer. What more does a man want?
