It depends on many factors. I will also have to say that my favourite TV show is certainly the Office. Up there with it is anything by Chris Morris or Armando Iannucci.
Looking at a more 'classic' birtish comedy, Black Adder is fucking great. I personally think it has more great characters and laugh out loud moments than Red Dwarf, but I also love Red Dwarf. I can get into it more, and watch episode after episode.
For pure laughter and sillyness, don't think much can beat good old Monty Python. It sums up British humour. I really want to get all the DVDs and sit down one day and watch them all. That'd be a great day.

i also agree on the point Stu has made, I have only recently discovered amando iannuci it was a great discovery highly recommend people to hunt that down.
i think peep show made me laugh more than blackadder how ever classically blackadder takes it.

Red Dwarf is my favourite, but Blackadder never lost it. Red Dwarf did after series six.
