Your friend posted on here and all was fine. He linked up his music and that was also fine. He got a few abrupt, frank and harsh remarks. This was nothing personal, it happens to a lot of people and their bands. Most people don't feel the need to validate their band from what is generally petty criticism. However, William took things a little seriously. He then started to backtrack and ended up posting in a manner that was daft. This was sometimes ok and sometimes not. However, for some people his general attitude was... irritating. Furthermore, apart from a brief bitching about Slayer, William has contributed little more than band-plugging and Heretic baiting (both are pretty fruitless exercises). Irrespective of what you think about a lot of people on this forum, they do actually have plenty of decent conversations about thrash generally, the scene that is very much alive, music beyond thrash and the odd bit of terribly un-pc joking around. If you can't contribute to these areas without it being snide comments at well-established posters then you are nothing but a time-wasting cunt. All are welcome just try and not cause problems, it detracts from the more worthwhile stuff...

As a sidenote, SSS fucking rule.

that was a fair enough post from mr wiliiam morton, i tihnk he might just be misunderstood/misunderstanding at times, but writing in a funny way doesn't usually help on the understanding side of things

Mr Rager, you can be compared to Mr Morton to illustrate the situation here. I won't talk about Morton, that's been done enough, so I'll just talk to you and say well done. (I do like rambling) You get slagged off on here all the time for both your band and your need to use the emoticons to a very numerous extent, and the majority of the time it's in jest, and you realise that. Even when it's not, you just laugh about and say 'thanks for the advice/slagging/tips/etc and all sorts'. That is called being a normal reasonable nice person. You don't take everything to heart (and if you do, you rarely show it), and you realise that at the end of the day we're all here for the same reason, and you're not a cunt. So well done. It's a shame some of newer members of this forum have been misunderstood, but being an arrogant cunt doesn't help (unless you're Martin and do it in an hilarious and great way). Some people don't realise that. Some people come on here to support the scene and get involved in this great community we have, and some people just come on here to be shameless whores. A lot of us on here don't take too kindly to shameless whoring.

And now Mr Morton. Much respect to you for getting through your accident and not giving up on what you love, that is something to admire. But on here you appear to be very self-involved, and that's why a lot of people here have decided they don't have much time for you apart from when they want to be hilarious and insult you. If you had just accepted the criticism of your music in the first place and said "Fine, fair enough, music is great so let's talk about that and make jokes about child rape", you would've got on fine with everyone. But unfortunately the situation was vastly and unecessarily exacerbated (which means to make things worse), and now here we are being hilarious.

I don't even know why I'm typing all this, I just wanted to get invovled and stir some shit up one time.

One thing I don't get is the fact that William Morton makes repeated attempts to wipe the slate clean, then gets all offended and defensive the next post or paragraph. You've got to understand we're not going to change, and you're the one who must adapt to us to be part of the community.

However can we ever accept someone who unleashed a troll onto the board? Saying that he wasn't that bad as far as trolls go, I'm sure we've all seen some complete and utter arseholes on other boards, but all the same a troll is a troll is a troll.

Is it just me that doesn't really know what you're talking about when you talk about trolls? Is it something to do with world of warcraft?
