John Inman a.k.a "Mr Humpries" RIP

Actor John Inman, most famous for the comedy Are You Being Served?, has died in London aged 71, his spokesman said.

Inman made his name in the 1970s show as Mr Humphries, whose catchphrase "I'm free!" entered popular culture.

In recent years he was a pantomime regular, most often taking the role of the dame. He also made appearances in BBC comedy show Revolver in 2004.

The Preston-born actor died in hospital and had been suffering from a Hepatitis A infection for some time.

ah you guys are so boring. Both carry on and are you being served are hilarious. Stupid immature comedy packed with tons of inuendo. what could be better than that? :dance:

I love the old british sitcoms!!! I have most of the carry on films, all the on the buses, loads of videos of stuff like butterflies, dads army, the good life, auf wiedershien pet, the brittas empire, porridge, open all hours, blackadder, dinnerladiesetc etc etc. British comedy is the best in the world bar none and if you don't agree, you are soooooo wrong!!!! :lol:

Eating catshit, and Immortalicide most of the sitcoms you just mentioned were excellent. I just found both are you being served and all the carry ons a load of bollocks.

Yeh I'd agree with that comment, and the fact that British comedy does own. But carry on and that thing were just... mehhhhh.. Cringeworthy.

My favourite sitcom ever is Dad's Army. Up there is BlackAdder, Fawlty Towers, OFAH, 'Allo 'Allo, Open All Hours...Argh so many good ones you can't name em all.
