Troma

Postby Refused on Mon Jul 06, 2009 6:42 pm

Anyone a fan of Troma's filthy, dirty, disgusting shit movies?
Saw Toxic Avenger and Class of Nuke 'Em High the other week, and enjoyed them very much. They're pretty much the definition of "rad" and "tubular".
It also reminded me of a programme I used to watch on Channel 4, which I probably shouldn't have because it had boobies on it, when I was about 12 - Troma's Edge TV. Been hunting the web for it, but seems impossible to find. There's a couple of DVDs of it, but there's only a couple of episodes on them. I want the entire series!

I have loads of these,my ex missus loved em

Basically the simple rule is to buy the offical Troma releases rather then the cheaper £5 ones as they are cut to fuck.

Watch.

Yeah, the official Troma releases don't seem too readily available though. Well, to purchase legally that is.
I've got hold of the Class of Nuke 'Em High and Toxic Avenger boxsets, although aparently the version of Toxic Avenger 2 in the boxset is cut quite a bit.

I used to watch them on Bravo when they went Horror Channel for a while. I've always had a thing for Class of Nuke 'Em High 1 & 2, The Toxic Avenger 1,2 & 3 & Surf Nazis Must Die. I've seen Chopper Chicks in Zombie Town and a flood of others but cant recall them now to be honest.

I like films in a similar vein too like Neon Maniacs, Killer Clowns from Outta Space and Terror Vision!

To bump this fucker up a bit, if you havent seen it already you should check out Die! You Zombie Bastards! Not a troma film but it's pretty much Troma worship, if the best ending fight scene ever.
