New Municipal Waste album

Postby BillyBelly on Sat Jun 13, 2009 1:10 am

Hey all. New here so sorry if there's already a thread. I looked and couldn't find one..

Anyway, anybody looking forward to this? Its up for pre-order on the Earache stores (here for anyone who doesn't know), just got myself the fan box with the sweatband and patch as I'm not really into vinyl. Apparently its only 13 tracks and the one on youtube "Wrong Answer" seems a bit different to the last 2 albums, seems more thrashy than crossover. (no bad thing, obviously)

Thanks, looks pretty cool here. Nice to find a place dedicated to thrash instead of the standard "all metal" forums.

Not feeling that track, it just starts, goes for a bit then stops, nothing interesting happens.

Municipal Waste are OK but for me they're just an inferior copy of DRI.

I would'nt say a inferior copy of D.R.I. just a newer version, can't wait for the new album and tour to promote it.

I'm glad that they aren't just doing load of songs about partying on the new album. I am tired of people calling them "party thrash" when they only had a few party songs on the first 2 albums.

Well.. to be fair.. all their songs were about beer and or zombies, let's face it.

I love Waste, thanks for the heads up about the packs! I'll probs preorder the one with the Patch instead of the one with the Tshirt...maybe

Hmm track sounds ok, def not as good as other stuff, the cool breakdown riff that i find waste famous for is missing, and it doesn't seem to be at the classic waste speed (or production level for that matter although that could be due to youtube).

Its not possible to buy waste patches outside of the pack/bundles usually is it?

Also- that link is to the USA webstore and that fanpack (comes in the fancy box) is exclusive to the us store (the uk store has a fanpack but i dont know if it comes in that epic box
