The Battle Of 86'

In the year 1986 many a good thrash metal album was released. I have picked some of the best, which is your favorite, why?

Let battle commence!

(The same can be done for 85' too!)

I'm torn between Pleasure to Kill and Reign in Blood. Darkness Descends is great too, but I always preferred Pleasure to Kill. Also, I'm not sure if Reign in Blood is my favourite Slayer album, so I might be leaning to Kreator.

Darkness Descends from that list. It's a shame that people associate '86 with the big four's best albums because so many good albums e.g. Exumer's Possessed by Fire get over-looked as a result.

I picked Peace Sells...but for me, the best album of '86 was by far WatchTower's Energetic Disassembly.

I've always gotta go with Megadeth, just my favourite band of all time! But whoever said it was right, they're all kick ass. I have to say I prefer the later albums of some of these guys; for me metallica's best is ..And justice for All, Megadeth's is 'Rust in Peace', and (controversially) Slayer's is 'Seasons in the Abyss'.

I know that last bit is nothing to do with '86 but hey!

Slayer - Reign In Blood

No contest whatsoever. All those other albums listed are good thrash albums. Reign in Blood is THE thrash album.
