Bon vs Brian
Just been having a bit of a classic AC/DC session (no comments at the back!!!), and still undecided about the age old question: who is the better vocalist, Bon Scott or Brian Johnson?? So i decided to poll it to you lot. The decisions have to be based on the vocalists performance NOT the songs that they have sang on (as some AC/DC has been shit during the 90s etc).

From what AC/DC i have heard, Bon. Plus i love that he was a nut case.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Gotta be controversial here and say Brian. I don't really think that he's technically a better vocalist than Bon was, but the way he just goes mad and screams every single word with unbelievable power makes me feel like a mad man whenever I listen to stuff like For Those About To Rock, and even when I listen to the live CDs where he does some of the Bon-era songs. They're both brilliant though, it's just a matter of personal preference. On the flipside though, Brian's voice definitely hasn't aged well (obviously that's one factor that I can't compare Bon with). In the old days his voice was amazing, but now, on the recent DVDs I've seen like Stiff Upper Lip for example, he's a screeching maniac (not in the same way he was in the good old days) whose voice has been unsurprisingly well and truly fucked up! Unfortuantely he can't reach the wonderfully high notes he used to. But in his golden days, I definitely prefer Brian over Bon.
I really do love a bit of AC/DC. They rock my fucking socks off!

i never know what to say on this poll. I love brian johnson so much, so many times ive sat watching the donnington dvd getting pished. Amok was formed watching that dvd. Got a brian johnson compilation in my car right now which rules. But ive been listeneing to the bon era stuff a lot recently and i think he has so much character to his voice. Plus he was from good old scotland! tough and always changing but i vote bon

This is a tough question. I fucking love em.
If there was 1 band that should win an award for "BEST BAND TO LISTEN TO WHILST CRUISING IN A CONVERTABLE", it would be ACDC.
(I obviously don't have a convertable, I have a banged up Nissan Primera that's just failed it's fucking MOT, but you can still cruise in it... kind of).
In fact, this question is so hard to answer that I'm going to do "IP DIP DOG SHIT" on the answer.
I just did the old Ip Dip Dog Shit You Are Not It, and it left me with Brian. But then I changed my mind and voted Bon.

brian, for the simple fact the one of the best AC/DC albums was Back in Black and he was the singer. dont forget Thunderstruck, also a fantastic song. There is not much difference between them. Having new seen AC/DC with bon scott, Brian is one hell of a show man, AC/DC are amazing live.

Bon. By a country mile. Highway to Hell is my favourite AC/DC album and I think it's his best performance along with Dirty Deeds. He could bring a sly sense of humour to songs that Brian, as much as I like him, could never do. For example, I don't think Brian could pull off a song like Crabsody in Blue or Big Balls the same way as the great man, never mind the understated subtlety of Ride On.

I can't really choose between them. They are both fantastic. DC own.
