When you name EXUMER an VENDETTA - DARKNESS and DEATHROW should go with it...!
And if you're not a metal head then you might as well be dead...

Look these poor innocent people in the eye and say once again Living Death is the only German cult band that deserves attention.

I'm afraid I can't be bothered reading the entire thread but it is my personal opinion that German thrash was always better than the Bay Area scene. I mean, yeah I really like bands such as early Metallica, Slayer (first 5), Exodus (pure shit these days), Megadeth (same applies).

However what the German bands have become is not really of interest apart from those bands that kept their integrity. I'm not interested in Kreator, Destruction and maybe Sodom. However in the modern age the best are Desaster and Nocturnal. I'd pick them over much of the modern 'thrash' around these days and they were doing it BEFORE it became trendy!

I bought Agent Orange based on many recommendations and found the riffs so monotonous. Only like 3 or 4 songs interested me. Funnily enough my favorite track is Ausgebombt which is not thrash. I checked out M-16 to as I heard it was meant to be good and I didn't even get passed the 3rd track. So monotonous. I'm going to check out Persecution Mania at some point as I hear it is quite different.

@ vision
I bought "Tapping the vein" and "Sodom" in the meantime. I like both albums, but Sodom still isn`t that great band to me, it seems to be for nearly every Thrash maniac..

Sodom are only worth listening to up to Persecution Mania anyway.
