Got a new computer, with the gay 'works' thing with it.

How do I get Microsoft Word back?!

Bastard.

Basically you need your Microsoft Office installation CD and serial key (assuming that you got your original copy of Office legally ;)). All you need to do is put the CD in and install it as you would do any other software.

If you haven't got the CD and key, it gets a lot less legal and a bit more complicated, you'll have to download a copy of Office and get a serial generator (or keygen).

Because I've spent near enough the last week on tech-support duty, fixing various family friend's PCs - all running Windows, and all screwed up because of it. :P

Get NeoOffice instead, a lot nicer than Office for Mac and it's got the added bonus of being free so you don't have to go around finding keygens or serials. Same applies to OpenOffice for Windows. Both packages can read/write to Office 2003 files (so .doc, .xls, .ppt etc).

I think Open Office is what I've been trying to get!

But having forgotten what it's called....it hasn't got me very far!

I'll try and get that working, if not, Jonnyboy, I'm gonna steal you, and get you to fix it up nice!

Open Office is fucking terrible....

But the new versions of MS Word, etc are also shit, the layout is so bad and it just works like goatse
