Crikey! I learned today how great this place was when I was just going about my business as usual. I happened to mention some local indie band was rubbish in some comment to another band and I started getting bombarded with tears. Check it out:

I know you think you are "it" at the moment, but, really, nobody likes you very much. Please, feel free to comment our myspace with how little you like us, but your tiny music brain just won't register. See, we have huge egos, so a dint from a greb won't really matter that much.

We don't cheek your band, now try not to cheek ours.

Please, refrain from such nasty remarks that you might think make an impact. But, the whole idea of music is to appeal, and basically, we have a laugh, get good gigs, get a lot of people coming to watch, and maybe write a few decent songs. Your opinion, doesn't matter

Haha, as you can see, The Backup and Martin Crawford love eachother dearly.

I preferred him when he had long hair and looked like a troll, but he has now undergone some sort of "indie transformation" and now likes indie girls, indie haircuts, and indie music.

Nice to see he still likes to criticise other bands, even with his teensie music knowledge, little brain, small penis, and, a shit band.

So basically, this is a big thankyou to all the bands on here I slag off and just take it like men and get on with it. It seems my criticism isn't wanted in the real world. Thankyou, people of UK Thrash.

Also, I'm quite aware of my small penis, but I'm interested to know how he knows?

Thing is, there's a lot of Indie bands in Matlock and I've checked most of them out because I like to see what's going on locally. An Indie band added me yesterday and I told them I was skeptical at first because I'd heard some right crap (I then specifically referenced 'The Backup'). They must have seen that comment and just gone ape-shit.

Imagine if every band took the time to personally respond to every bit of criticism they got. I know if I messaged everyone who had a dig at Heretic I'd never have any free time.

god those guys are terrible. Everything i hate about indie: the blandness, the predictable chords, the exagerated regional accent, the poor instrumental skill and the pathetic lyrics.

Theyd probably post a really long message saying how its unfair that we criticised them and that we know nothing about music. And after a 20 line post say 'your opinion doesnt matter to us' :roll:
