They passed their prime a long time ago, the Horror Show was the last listenable release I heard from them

The problem with Iced Earth is that when you listen to their later stuff too much, their songs start to all sound the same.
I'm glad Barlow is back though, but those samples seemed to lack up-tempo parts and therefore suck for that reason!

I don't care either way. Of their two longest standing singers Barlow was brilliant and Ripper was brilliant.
The new stuff sounds excellent. Can't wait 'til Bloodstock.

Jon Shaffer is a cock, and so far up his own arse. Iced earth isn't even really a band, it's just Jon Schaffer and a good Bassist, guitarist and drummer, and Barlow on Vocals. But that doesn't stop them being to totally bloody amazing.
