The Simpsons truly was a brilliant show back then. I watched a newer one about Homer having a tow-trick business recently and it was fucking terrible. It makes me sad.

There's only a few episodes of the Simpsons I actually enjoy, it's mostly poor.

I like the ones where Homer is the main character, being thick as fuck.

Agreed, it's easily the silliest thing Lev has ever said. If you limit yourself to watching Seasons 2-6 you'll be hard pushed to find more than ten bad episodes. It's a shame The Simpsons has run for 18 years and only been good for five but, if you don't bother with the past ten or so years of it, it's still fucking great. I do the same with Peep Show: Seasons 1-3 are gold but 4 and 5 aren't really worth watching.
