BHS has limited choice for the discerning buyer and aspiring student who wishes to not play by the rules which will inevitably give him or her the edge over his or her peers...

Dressing up like someone from the 80s isn't thrash, it's just a novelty and a piss take. We just turn up to gigs in the gear we wear normally and let the music do the talking.

I agree with martin. its good to see a band just going up with what they wear normally and not getting dressed up in 80's clobber

what defines "80s" clothes? surely categorising clothing types like that makes a t-shirt 80s clothes, since they were worn in the 80s?

thats why its just so funny, it looks as if your mum dresses you, with your latest gap jeans, youre the perfect poster boys. cant you see that half of the point of metal is the attitude? its the whole point of not wanting to fit into a mainstream of fucking gap and Marks and spencer clothing that drives people to lead a bit of an alternative lifestyle, I think its so funny though on more than one occassion you've been completely honest in not wanting to live outside of the mainstream culture, so there's not much to argue about haha, just playing non fashionable music isnt enought to make you lead a different lifestyle, if you're happy living your life jus like everyone else and just make music for the sake of doing something then thats fine, for me, my music represents being something that aims in a different direction to mainstream culture, I like to not buy clothes every fucking weekend, and now, my clothes look dirty and old, its got nothing to do with you thinking that your honest, actually, its because you're completely normal that you look the way you do. you look like indie kids, cos inside, thats really what you represent

I have nothing against their clothing - I am not into metal in an attempt to be "non-mainstream", and I in fact own quite a few clothes like that which I wear.

On the other hand, I do think there is a time and a place to support your favourite bands by wearing their shirts, and if dressing up a bit non-standard gets you in the mood for metal when going out or performing on stage, then I think that is equally fine. I do both really.

I think that the foundation of building an attitude which is different to a mainstream culture in society is crucial to metal music. personally, i think its a virtue.
