RTL is the only Metallica album I ever listen to. I'd even go so far as to say it's the only one worth owning, but I'd be diving head first into a pile of burn if I did so.

You certainly would indeed.

RTL is good i will admit but i don't particularly like Trapped Under Ice or Escape, they just seem like filler material.

Master Of Puppets will always be my favourite as it's the first Metallica album i owned and also there's not one flawed song on there and they were at the very pinnacle of their powers on that record.

That album is just crying out for a decent remastering.

AJFA is the only Metlicker album i listen to with anything more than half interest these days.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

yeah, the guitars are kinda flat and hollow.... very dated production becuase it was so 'modern' when it came out I guess!

And Justice is just crap IMO, I've never got into more than a couple of mins of any of the songs, too slow, too boring!!!

I'm un-decided as far as that goes, i love the whole sound of Master... but Ride... has a far heavier production job.

RTL, most of Kill 'Em All and the demos before hand. The demos are easily the best.

I'm with Harris really, have never been able to listen to Justice all the way through without getting bored. I also think Master of Puppets has some bland moments, but I love the first two.

Totally agree.

MoP is too flat in production. Very bland, needs to be remixed propperly, not just a normal shoddy remix to try n tell more copies.

When it comes to Metallica, the only albums I can stand are Kill 'Em All and Ride the Lightning. Master of Puppets only has one good song (Battery) and everything after just makes me feel unwell.

And don't get me fucking started on Death Magnetic....

I wouldn't go that far, I think the MoP title track is absolutely amazing!!
