Most awkward casual racist attempted joke I know of was a drunk fella asking a chinese takeaway guy if he had any cockles (to take the piss from those pickers drowning) while sniggering. The poor man must have got so pissed off with people ripping him he'd gone the cash and carry and bought loads of them and forcefully charged the drunk £3.
