Yeah, so for my birthday a while back I got this memorial copy of the Times from the day I was born (March 8, 1988)... Here's some interesting nuggets of information from the paper from that day. Add yours, don't be a shit.

- I Should Be So Lucky by Kylie Minogue and Together Forever by the main man himself, Rick Astley, were number 1 and 2 in the charts..
- AC/DC played the NEC for 10 quid..
- The day after they shot aload of IRA terrorists in Gibraltar..
- It was "Super Tuesday" in the election George Bush snr later won..
- A programme called "Superchamps" aired on Channel 4 at 5.30, which is described as "Land and watersports contest for children from 8-13 years old, presented by Gary Crowley. Right.
- Wilding's First Complete Portable Word Processor is £573. Fuck.

On my birthday, 9th February 1985, Madonna's "Like a Virgin," album goes #1 for 3 weeks.

And that's about all I can find. I suppose everyone probably just stopped what they were doing to celebrate the birth of the future greatest heavy metal bassist of all time. Thanks.
