I do like guitar albums. However, I hate how 'loose' Jimmy Page's guitar playing is. The Heartbreaker solo is so often cited in the top 5 guitar solos of all time, but it's mainly fluffed notes and I HATE fluffed notes.

And to imply that LZ are the better guitar band than KISS is absolutely ludicrous! KISS have far more instantly memorable guitar riffs to their credit than do LZ. People just don't realise this because they can't get past the fact that KISS used gimmicks.

It doesn't matter that KISS released one Disco tune (again, the ignorance of this board astounds me); LZ never released 6 brilliant albums consecutively. Therefore, KISS are still more consistent than Led Zeppelin.

I like Led Zeppelin but I love KISS because they were more consistent, tighter and, with the exception of Bonzo and JPJ, better musicians as well.

The first 6 Zep albums are all incredible!

KISS were great for what they were, a pop/glam rock band, nothing more nothing less.

Anyway we're never going to agree so we might as well prevent another thread turning into an argument about KISS.

I like Kiss,got a few of there albums,but to suggest that they are better than Zeppelin,and that they are better musicians,is,of course shite.

Idont usually do this.. but i'd like rephrase what I said, and in fact recind it somewhat.

Kiss are still better however I just listenened to I, II and am half way thru III.

I is still pretty poor imo with only a handful of gd songs. But II and III (so far) are flawless.

Still overrated though.

Anyway, I think Led Zeppelin are amazing, been listening to the first one at work a lot and it always surprises me how into that album I get. The first 4 are genius really, cant fault them. Brilliant musicians and such good song writing, think I will stick some Led on now!

Led Zep are the fucking nuts. Their later albums are a bit dodgy (but still with some classic including the fucking mighty Achilles Last Stand which is my favourite Zeppo song), but if you listen to How The West Was Won, you forget about all the dodgy bits and just realise the wonder that is Led Zeppelin. And good god, if anyone can watch the Led Zeppelin 'DVD' and say they are overrated, then... well, I disagree with you. How dare you!

Led Zeppelin are Satan's favourite band.

I've recently realised, it's not me starting the arguments. It's everyone else! This thread is a typical example. People just can't accept the fact that I rate KISS so they highlight it.

I stated that I find Deep Purple and KISS to be better than LZ. However, the fact that I love KISS was the focus of concentration rather than the fact I love Deep Purple.
