I saw that too. I'd never heared of it before, but when I put it on I thought, I wonder if this is a Romero film (because the scientist guy sounds like the voice in the mall from Dawn of the Dead). I checked the info and I was right! I only saw it from half way through though, so I'll have to go out and buy it now.

In that boxset is 2019 the uncencored version? When i watched it at riks he said that of the 2 versions the cencored one cuts alot of the story out (not that the movie is gory at all even uncensored..) Fucking amazing movie! I keep meening to buy it but im waiting for rad bloody rik to come on here so i can get him to advice me on which one is and isnt censored lol.

See now i would like also some good Post appocalyptica or proper b zombie movies...but (this is where the truth comes out) i cant stomach horror movies and it makes me so upset lol. If i tried to watch zombie creeping flesh or another zombie b movie i would have trouble, cause the gore is essentially real- people using actual props and everything you see has been created...not CGI- i just can not stomach it, even though i know it A)looks rediculus and B) isnt real.

The other problem is that i am not good with handling tension especially in movies, but thats a whole nuther story.

Why is it i cant become desesitized to gore lol i love zombies, books, comics, games etc...but only seen a few movies (dawn of the dead remains my fav zombie movie, but i know there is better out there)

If you don't like realistic looking gore don't watch Cannibal Holocaust....the animals that get killed are real. Though also does that mean watching Day Of The Dead would screw you up...with its awesome gore effects and the whole tension of being underground with loads of zombies about.

One of my favourite zombie scenes EVER

I have "Ichi The Killer" on DVD if that counts. Weird movie. That and "Irreversible" are probably the most unsettling movies I have watched. Cannibal Holocaust wasn't far behind mind you.

Get yourself copies of Audition, Dark Water, Ring, Battle Royale and A Bittersweet Life.

Ichi The Killer fucking owns.

Cannibal Holocaust is disturbing after a fashion and also Cannibal Ferox and the first Zombie Flesh Eaters along with I Spit On Your Grave.

Takeshi Kitano is the fucking boss, end of really.

Also i agree with shug, Irreversible wasn't a nice film. One of the few gritty horrors that i've ever found disturbing.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

Instead of going off on the gore route some of my favourite horror movies are those from the silent era and early talkies. Theres just something about the way they are filmed, the make up to make people's features stand out, the suspense, old fashioned special effects just creates such eerie films. I plan on making a few like this at some point as a interesting summer project, James your good at writing stories come up for a possible plot for a 1920's style horror film.
