"The Whisperer In Darkness" HP Lovecraft movie

Postby blacktears on Wed Feb 11, 2009 11:50 pm

I have waiting for the release of this movie, by the HP Lovecraft Historical Society, for quite some time. They did a marvellous job of producing "The Call Of Cthulhu", which was period perfect and one of the best silent movie ever made - since "Nosferatu" anyhow  The fact that it was silent original put me off, but I was definitely won over when I watched it.

"The Whisperer In Darkness" is a talkie, and the clip on the link below is a real tantaliser.

If you are HP Lovecraft fan, and have not come across the society before, check out the other stuff they have for sale and as freebies.

I think this is the thing Torso has been going gaga about for ages.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Aye, the trailer has been up on the website for about a year now. They keep releasing other stuff to finance its release.

Has Torso been mentioning Lurker Film releases? They specialise in Lovecraft shorts, mostly culled from the yearly HP Lovecraft film festival, with a longer feature added on. www.lurkerfilms.com

I hate HP Lovecraft for the fact his hardback books are fat and I can't get them on my shelf properly at work. Twat.

Wow this looks pretty good!

I would love there to be a Shadow Over Innsmouth film, whether by this group or in a modern-day style. If done well it would be amazing.

People will style that don't want some cheap tacky plastic cover.
