Re: The most disappointing things in life
It's always Italian Herb and Cheese bread if I go to Subway.

Cheese tastes nicer on brown bread and I usually have brown bread with beans on toast.
IT pisses me off when you see someone have Ketchup with beans. HP FTW!

Re: Bread
Is there anything that hasn't been discussed at length on UKThrash? There's an Italian restaurant in Aberystwyth that does pretty amazing bread, it's proper crusty stuff with a small bowl of olive oil and vinegar mix to dip in

Re: Bread
FUCK! Ok, this is going to sound awful...
Have you tried the Artisan bread they have at Pret A Manger? It makes all lesser breads cower in fear.
ALSO! Try Dove's Farm, that is really nice bread you can buy at most super markets.

Re: Bread
Two more yeasty shout-outs:
1. CRUSTY. FUCKING. ROLLS. I could easily eat a whole pack of these, as long as they are still soft and fresh inside; preferably spread with crunchy peanut butter. Smooth is for wimps.
2. Tiger Bread, and especially tiger baguettes from Tesco - you can get a whole french stick sized tiger baguette for about 65p, and I have devoured the whole thing on more than one occasion - broken down into about three sandwiches of about a foot long each: one filled with ham, salad and a bit of mayo (godly), and the rest with trusty crunchy peanut butter.
UK Bread!
Actually, I really think we should bring various lovely breads to the Mercyful Summer Fate - certainly more wholesome than bucket-loads of Haribo! I may bring a tiger baguette for my personal perusal, but the spreading process could get messy.

My bad, I just split the threads from Bill's post onwards. I've merged your "disappointing" post (see what I did there?) back into the thread

I came here in order to praise tiger bread, seems you have beat me to it. Managed to snag myself one of the tiger baguettes for 6p the other night by going into Tesco during the evening.
I ate half of it then beat a pedo off with the other half.

Mine's in here too.
YES! Tiger bread! It's amazing.
I've eaten a lot of bread here at Plodman's the past couple days, part baked, french, pitta, crumpets... all of them covered in loads of cheese.
I normally buy the brown bread at uni - particularly good for egg and soldiers
Oh yeah, as pove reminded me... I can't forget muffins. Love them.

Re: Bread
I like having hot food in thick white bread with some ketchup. Examples: sausages, fish fingers, and obviously bacon.
