Orite?

Basically I have some sorta weird ULTRA-acidic hands, and destroy guitars strings after using them for about half an hour.

They turn fucking black instantly.

I've tried Fast-Fret and all that shit, and special coated strings... and fuck all.

Anyone else have this problem and recommend anything, or is it just me? Maybe I drink too much or should be studied for medical science?

I get this problem too dude, maybe not so bad as that but i know what ya mean, i used to play guitar for 10 mins and have black fingertips!!!

first off -clean your fret board properly, loads of fine grease and dirt on there which will just stick back onto your hand when you play... a pencil eraser works really well for this, the rubbery ness sticks all the fine dirt that you can't really wipe off with a cloth, found this out recently, it leaves the fretboard and neck feeling so fresh!

there are a number of reasons that could be to blame, just clean the fretboard like i mentioned and wash your hands like 10 mins before you play..

working in a plastic factory wont be doing you any good,

nah Naths hands are ultra fucked, i swear he tuned my guitar once for me after a new set of strings were put on and after he had tuned it they were black and flaking like my guitar had caught a major case of the bad aids!
