Brilliant. Not many things are more hilarious than Tom Araya trying to sing properly anyway.

I love Slayer (I may have mentioned this before) but that cover is utterly horrific. Why oh why did they do it?
It's the musical equivalent of finding out your dad is a paedophile.

What ever we might say about them, Slayer must be one of the most original sounding bands on the planet. All you have to do is stick a few disonant scary notes on your riff with a hipnotic backbeat and every cunt under the sun is shouting "Slayer!" before you've even finished. Was there anyone else doing that kind of shit before them who just didn't get through to the masses? I mean REALLY similar...

I've never heard of this! I'd love to listen to it, it sounds brilliantly hilarious.

Sure, Slayer pretty much did create that evil thrash sound, but these days they have very few remnants of that old melodic sound, and pepper their albums with horrible identikit metalcore staccato crap. Plus Tom's vocals are weak now.

I actually thought Christ Illusion was alright. No SITA or RIB that's for sure but some tracks like Flesh Storm I think are quite good...

But yeh they've totally lost that whole Criminally Insane evil dissonantness which is my favourite element of Slayer

If Christ Illusion was done by a different band, everone would love it. It is fucking great! It's just that people always want the next album to be reign in blood again, and that's impossible. Atleast they don't play rock like Metallica.

Nahh, i don't think it was that from the Uk Thrash general perspective, I mean we were slagging it off before anyone even heard it :P

Basically, if Slayer just fucking quit, they'd be much better, they made their best album 22 years ago, why bother anymore? :P

I think that's true of a lot of people but not so much with thrash purists (for want of a better term). People here are either Slayer worshippers and think it's all great or gave up after Seasons (if not before). I'll be honest, I've not heard it. I'm sure it's ok. But Slayer should be just ok.

Indeed, at least they don't play rock (or should that be UTTER FUCKING DIRE MAKES-ME-WANT-TO-STAB-OUT-MY-FUCKING-EAR-DRUMS SHIT) like Metallica.

I certainly don't want another RIB, I want another bloody Show No Mercy! I don't think new Slayer are any better than new Metallica either.
