Toying with making myself a "guilty pleasures" compilation of 80s Hair Metal, so far I've decided upon;
Ratt "Lay It Down"
Poison "Look What The Cat Dragged In"
Malice "Rockin' With You"
Bon Jovi "Living On A Prayer"
Not sure which Moldy Crud to include, something off "Shout..." for sure.
Anyone got suggestions please?

Paul Baloff's turning in his grave!

The only 80s hair band I can dig is Cinderella, so something by them is a must. Van Halan could conceivably included on a compilation like that though, and would improve it considerably...

I hate the term "hair metal", partly because it's so often mis-used.

In the 80's, I knew it as either glam or wimp.

the crue track should be either Live Wire, or shout at the devil. Others are:
Skid row - 18 and life
Cinderella - gypsy road
Dokken - kiss of death
Tyketto - forever young
Firehouse - dont treat me bad
Electric boys - all lips n hips
Warrant - cherry pie
Heretic - shadows of the enemy
Great white - rock me
Tesla - modern day cowboy
WASP - sleeping in the fire
Shotgun Messiah - shout it out
Slaughter - up all nite
I used to listen to loads of this stuff as my ex-wife was into glam metal and we used to go to the rock nites at nottingham rock city, where it was played all nite in the late 80s, apart from the first hour, when they would play some thrash

Overall, it really wasnt my thing, but there were some very good "glam" or "hair" bands (or bands that got put in this genre). The debut Tesla LP is fucking brilliant, and they were heavy as fuck live too. Skid row were also heavy when they wanted to be, and awesome live, and of course WASP were one of the best metal bands of the 80s!!!!. However some were shit, such as tigertailz, and i remember seeing them play in burton in about 87, when all of us young thrashers stood at the front and just kept shouting FASTER!!!!! They fuckin hated us

Anyone remember Wrathchild? They were from Evesham, a few miles away from where I live and their guitarist, er... Lance Rocket now works as a guitar salesman in my local music shop.

Yup, that's him on the far right. He's a bit on the chubby side nowadays and thankfully has a different haircut.

Absolure stone cold classics.And no,I'm not being sarcastic.I still stick Cherry Pie on in the Tap in Nottingham whenever I'm down there.The only problem I have with this thread is the "guilty pleasure" bit.Fuck that,good music is good music,nevermind the fashion police.
Here's a few more;
Whitesnake-Still of the night
Pretty Boy Floyd-Leather boys with elctric toys
Bon Jovi-Bad Medicine
Motley Crue-Knock 'em dead kid
Should have loads more,I'll have a think about it.
