Looks like the world wide thrash revival is really picking up some steem:

"Metal Blade Records has announced the signing of Bay Area thrashers HATCHET.

According to a press release, HATCHET is "an onslaught of five thrash metal fanatics from the San Francisco Bay Area; a starting point for infamous thrash bands like METALLICA, EXODUS, TESTAMENT, and VIO-LENCE, just to name a few. Formed by Julz on guitar and Slave behind the drum kit in January 2005, HATCHET was started as the two were fed up with the stale metal scene in their home town. Their desire to create music filled with substance and driving aggression would be enough to help revive a genre that had slowly began to fade away over the years in their hometown."

Commented the band: "It is an honor to be working with Metal Blade, and to be a part of the legacy of amazing artists they have worked with over the years! Together we will help bring thrash metal back to the top where it belongs!"

Added a Metal Blade representative: "In a time where thrash is making an awesome comeback, we are stoked to be working with bands that are a part of the rebirth. These guys are young, ruthless and talented and we can't wait till they rock you like it's 1984!"

Whoa!! I've never listened to these guys before but they are bloody amazing. Vocals havnt started yet but still fucking good! Ew.. Vocals suck a bit, pretty weak voice.

Earlier today a man ended up in Accident and Emergency after haing fifteen pieces of coal shoved up his backside by his girlfriend. A spokesman for the hospital commented that the man was stoked.

Metal Blade are fannies, GWAR used to be on them for like 14 or so years, they pretty much stopped promoting them at all so they left and since then they've done bloody amazingly well for themselves. (they're now on DRT)

I like...a lot!Killer riffs and the vocals are pretty good as well.Definetly deserve to be signed.I'd rate them up there with Evile and Gama Bomb,top stuff!!!!
