No. Motorhead are clearly one of the major influences to heavy metal and early thrash not to mention countless others. In addition to that they have been one of the few bands to maintain their appeal and rarely actually improve with time.
As where Opeth are convoluted and over complicated just for the sake of it and come of sounding over stacked and lack lustre.
Not saying you can't like them, they just are pretty dire to me.
