Yeah, Martin's actually right. If you don't like it, don't read it. No-one's forcing you to.

A test of humour - watch the Brass Eye Paedophile special.
If you find it funny, you have a good sense of humour, have a badge.
If you find it sick, go and read the Daily Mail and live in a web of hate and lies...
That picture was funny. Sick humour is no truth. Unless it is.

I think there is a line too. I don't think that's the line. The line in my book comes when malice is put behind jokes. You can tell Jim Davidson or Bernand Manning have terrible, deep rooted, phobias of non-white and gay people for example.
Plus it's just a head stuck on a body ffs. It's not the cutting edge of humour, but I cracked a laugh. It's a standard, acceptable, sick mind.

I don't, however, see that James finds the fact that Maddie might be getting raped by 3 actual smiling paedophiles, to be funny. Nobody here wants that.
Well I hope not.

it's quite interesting that the only two people who really find it offensive are female.
I think it was in bad taste but i must admit i 'lolled'. The expressions on the faces are classic.

You're right, people can't just go around saying what they want!
Maybe you should get some friends sans arses containing giant sticks.

I actually thought of that BrassEye special tonight as I was thinking about this thread. It's bloody hilarious. I like the way it challenges people's view of these taboos and just further exaggerates the way the media already exaggerate everything. And perhaps that was the intent here, although in terms of BrassEye that is their job and what they are paid for, and they are particularly clever with everything they do, which perhaps isn't really the case here.
Also, with regards to all this, as I said before, I am apologetic to those who have been upset by this, it was never meant to offend people here, so perhaps it was a step too far - but then again, like someone else said, it's not like there was any malice behind it. For me, I can laugh it off because I know Jamie and I know he is one of the nicest guys in the world who would never wish anything like what's happened to that little girl on anyone. None of us would. But when people go so mad over events like this like it's a passing fashion (which is what this thread's been all about), it's just a natural reflex for people like us to just take the piss out of it all.
I can see how the extreme graphic nature of the picture that was used would not sit very well with some people however, especially as its not particularly clever or witty. But Martin has a point, and it is a point also reiterated in the Cartoon Wars episode of South Park (that series does have some great things to say about the world!) - either all of its ok to laugh at, or none of it is. However, I do understand that we're not professional comedians, and I'm almost certain Chris Morris isn't like his on-screen persona in real life, so perhaps we should be more considerate of the feelings of those around us.
That was all quite rambling because I'm a bit drunk and stoned, and I can't remember what my points are, but they're probably there somewhere.

I don't think it overstepped a mark but I didn't find it funny. I generally don't find porn amusing or arousing. It's like the speed-blowjobs thing on the youtube thread - just not my thing at all. However, but I don't think anything done in an attempt to be light-hearted on this board will really piss me off.

Well what is that line? To you it might be any light made of things about children, to someone else it might be racism or just the use of bad language. Therefore, you have to understand that if you're going to say there's a line, you can't go around picking and choosing what is offensive and what isn't.
P.S. Girls have no sense of humour.
