For non smokers like me this is great. Now if only it is enforced so I don't have to go to the pub and constantly smell it or my clothes smelling it.

This is good news, although I don't believe for a second that it's intended to save lives, but merely to make people more comfortable. It's intended to appease the self-righteous non-smokers and they're using secondary smoke as an excuse. I know people who LIVE outa pubs and none of them ever got lung cancer without sucking on a cig for 30 years. Doesn't fucking happen.

Also, this means that bars and pubs wont smell like bars and pubs any more. And that sucks.

My little bro has cancer and when he goes into a smokey room it sets off some serious pain.

Two of my friends have died from drug related issues (one from a certain type of smoking) and it amazes me that some of my 'mates' still smoke around him sometimes. Smoking is disgusting, not IMO or IMHO but seriously its disgusting. My aunt has cancer from smoking and some people still go out and buy fags cos "its something to do with my hands" or "Ill get fat if I stop"... Try saying that when youre 6 months into kemotherepy and you are still going to die.

Anyway, having smoking banned is amazing news, if people want to let that shit into their bodies and make me feel sick when they are doing it, then they should go outside and not bother the people who arnt INHALING CHEMICAL SMOKE OF PAIN.

Sorry about the rant yall, smoking just really upsets me, most people dont even want to do it, they are giving money to a company because they are addicted to it.

we have had the ban up here for a while now and everyone seems to be sticking to it. I think it is good because the when we were out the people i drank with used to chain smoke the whole night and you came home absolutly reeking. The only small problem is that every so often everyone at the table has to get up and go outside which can get annoying. However i just talk to my pint when that happens

Yep, I have to say it'll be nice to not stink all the time after going to a gig/the pub... The smell of smoke in a pub at the time doesnt bother me in the slightest but the stale smoke smell in my clothes and hair the next day makes me want to vomit...

I fully support it. I've seen it in action in Scotland and it makes going out for a few drinks a lot more pleasant. I don't have moral issues with smokers, if someone wants to put something in their body then it's entirely up to them. However, once that starts infringing on me, I get annoyed.

It fucking pisses me right off when some obnoxious cunt sits next to me in a bus stop and just lights up without even being courteous enough to ask if it'll bother someone. It makes me smell of fags and makes it hard to breathe. I don't care how many lives the smoking ban will save - I just don't want to smell of fags every time I leave my house.

i didnt mind smokers but then someone burnt my nuclear assault shirt at exodus so now i dont like them

I never really had a problem with people smoking in pubs but I can't say that I miss the overpowering smell of nicotine when I jump into the shower and wash my hair in the morning either.

I don't smoke tobacco but this smoking ban your supporting will really piss off a lot of people just because you pussies are offended by it.
